Daniel S. Griffin home about me

about me

I really think a lot about what we really think about what we can't really think about.

I'm a Ph.D. student at UC-Berkeley’s School of Information. My research interests center on uncertainty and contingency in information and power, looking at freedom and control in information systems and applications of scenario thinking.

I finished the Master of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) program from the same school in 2016.

Prior to graduate school I was an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army where I served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. As an undergraduate, I studied philosophy at Whitworth University. In my free time I enjoy running ultramarathons.
